Given the critical role of the nervous system in health and disease, thermography of the paraspinal muscles of the neck is performed on each visit to monitor the response of the nervous system to treatment. Measurements are compared with research-normed values to determine how well the nervous system is functioning. This is one factor that determines whether your Upper Cervical spine needs to be adjusted.
First Visit: Images are taken to measure the displacement of the Atlas in three different planes, from the top, the front, and the side.
Second Visit: Images are taken after the first treatment. By comparing before and after treatment images, the precise adjustment that will optimize the healing process can be determined.
By using a precise instrument to correct the displacement we allow the body’s natural healing ability to be restored.
The Atlas Orthogonal Precision Adjusting Instrument uses the principles of percussion force. As the patient lies on one side, the doctor places the tip of the instrument below the patient’s earlobe, barely touching the skin. The head of the instrument sends a percussion sound wave through the tip, therefore placing the atlas in the correct position. The patient feels absolutely no discomfort.
Once this is accomplished, the body is able to maintain health naturally, without drugs or surgery. You will be evaluated at every visit to determine if your spine is holding its adjustment.
After each cervical correction, the patient rests for 10 minutes to allow the body to integrate the change to the nervous system.
