Personalized Care

First Visit- Consultation and Examination:

State-of-the-Art technology is utilized to determine where and when care is needed. This includes specific imaging and thermography

  • Complete history and physical examination
  • Thermographic evaluation to evaluate degree of Atlas subluxation
  • X-ray of the Cervical Spine

Allow 1 hour for this initial session.

Second Visit- Report of Findings and Treatment:

  • Review of Personalized care plan specific to each individual
  • Thermographic evaluation before and after the Upper Cervical correction
  • Upper Cervical correction
  • X-ray of the Cervical Spine to verify correction of Atlas adjustment
  • Resting period

Allow 1 hour for this appointment.

Office Visits and Wellness Care:

  • Tracking progress
  • Thermographic evaluation to see if you are holding your adjustment and whether an adjustment is needed
  • Resting period

Allow 30 min for this appointment.

Re-evaluation:

  • Evaluation of progress within 30 days of care, including a brief physical examination.

Allow 45 min for this appointment.

Thermographic Evaluation:

Given the critical role of the nervous system in health and disease, thermography of the paraspinal muscles of the neck is performed on each visit to monitor the response of the nervous system to treatment. Measurements are compared with research-normed values to determine how well the nervous system is functioning. This is one factor that determines whether your Upper Cervical spine needs to be adjusted.

Imaging of the Cervical Spine:

First Visit: Images are taken to measure the displacement of the Atlas in three different planes, from the top, the front, and the side.

Second Visit: Images are taken after the first treatment. By comparing before and after treatment images, the precise adjustment that will optimize the healing process can be determined.

Upper Cervical Correction:

By using a precise instrument to correct the displacement we allow the body’s natural healing ability to be restored.

The Atlas Orthogonal Precision Adjusting Instrument uses the principles of percussion force. As the patient lies on one side, the doctor places the tip of the instrument below the patient’s earlobe, barely touching the skin. The head of the instrument sends a percussion sound wave through the tip, therefore placing the atlas in the correct position. The patient feels absolutely no discomfort.

Once this is accomplished, the body is able to maintain health naturally, without drugs or surgery. You will be evaluated at every visit to determine if your spine is holding its adjustment.

Resting Period:

After each cervical correction, the patient rests for 10 minutes to allow the body to integrate the change to the nervous system.
